Evanston Township High School is a large public school located in Evanston, IL, just north of Chicago, with a racially and economically diverse student population.

Welcome to the ETHS Speech and Debate Team's website. Here you can find our calendar for the upcoming months and a description of our team. And some sweet pictures.

  • Our team has monthly meetings for our white students to improve their racial literacy, identify the way racism shapes their worldview and influences their behavior, and develop strategies to disrupt and combat racism. We are holding our next racial literacy seminar Monday, 11/20, at 4:00 pm in N-125. Though this seminar may focus on whiteness and ways that white students can recognize and disrupt racism, all students are welcome to attend.
  • After school on Friday, 11/17, in room E-212, we will have a SUPER PRACTICE (trademark Maaz) for all events; dinner will be provided around 5:00pm. It's an opportunity for all of our students to get together, celebrate and work with one another, and eat some pizza. All students are welcome.
  • To be added to our weekly update emails this year, all students (new and old) must complete the ETHS Speech and Debate Contact Info Form.
